What the chauffeur does before you land at London City
In the forty minutes before you land, the chauffeur has already left Southwark and is at London City. The car goes into the London City car park, the parking is paid, and the walk to the arrivals barrier is timed so the board is up before the first passengers bound for Southwark come through. None of that is your problem, but it is the reason the London City meet works and Southwark is reached on time.
The drive home covers about 8 miles. Late at night A201 Blackfriars Road is empty and the run is quick; at six in the evening it is not, and the chauffeur will have chosen the route accordingly before you reach the car.
- The same chauffeur who drove you out of Southwark
- Board held at London City until you are standing in front of it, Southwark bound
- Groups gathered at one point inside London City, one chauffeur per car into Southwark
- A quiet cabin for the 8 miles back into Southwark
