COReservations desk

Talk to the people who dispatch the car

One line for calls and WhatsApp, one mailbox, answered around the clock. No switchboard, no reference number, no queue to sit in while a flight lands without you.

  • Answered day and night
  • Quotation in writing
  • UK-wide driving
  • No call queue

Contact details: summary

First Class Chauffeurs takes reservations on one line, +44 7775 554848, which answers both voice calls and WhatsApp messages, and by email at info@firstclass-chauffeurs.co.uk. Reservations are answered around the clock, every day of the year. A written quotation normally follows within the hour and names the vehicle, the chauffeur arrival time and what the figure covers. The company is London based and drives the whole of the United Kingdom. No trading address, switchboard or second number is published, because only these channels are in use.

If a contact route is not on this list, it is not ours.

Telephone

Straight to reservations. Best for anything with more than one moving part, and for a change of plan you would rather not type.

WhatsApp

The same line. Send a screenshot of an itinerary, a photograph of where you are standing, or four words at six in the morning.

For long itineraries, and for anything a colleague or a travel desk needs copying in on.

Prefer to set it out in fields? A quote on WhatsApp walks through the same questions the desk would ask.

Who answers

One line, answered by someone who can book the car

LF-01One line, answered by someone who can book the car

One line, answered by someone who can book the car

The number at the top of this page rings the reservations desk directly. There is no menu to work through, no department to be transferred between and no ticket reference to quote back at anybody. Whoever picks up can see the diary, so a question about Thursday morning gets an answer about Thursday morning rather than a promise that somebody will look into it.

The same line carries WhatsApp, which matters more than it sounds. A client standing at a closed terminal exit with a phone in one hand and a case in the other can send four words and a photograph faster than they can explain a location out loud. On the day of a booking, that thread is usually the quickest way to reach the chauffeur through us.

04Response

How long things take

Honest ranges rather than a promise nobody could keep at four in the morning.

A message

Read as it arrives

WhatsApp and the phone line are watched continuously, including overnight.

A simple quotation

Usually within the hour

One pick-up, one destination, a date. That is a short piece of arithmetic.

A complex itinerary

The same day

Multi-city runs need the positioning between legs worked out before a figure means anything.

A change on the day

Immediately

Reply on the existing thread. Whoever answers can reach the chauffeur directly.

05Useful detail

What to include in an enquiry

Six lines that between them remove almost every follow-up question.
  • 01

    The date, and the time

A pick-up time if you have one. If the time depends on a flight, give the flight instead and we will work it back.

  • 02

    Where the car collects

Postcode and door. Hotels with a second entrance and offices behind a barrier are where minutes go missing.

  • 03

    Where you are going

A full address if the destination is residential. A terminal number if it is an airport.

  • 04

    Passengers and cases

Both counted separately. The second number decides the car more often than the first does.

  • 05

    Anything fitted beforehand

Child seats, a booster, accessible access or extra luggage space are arranged before the car leaves, not on arrival.

  • 06

    A way to reach you

A mobile the passenger will actually answer. If somebody else is booking, we need both numbers.

Writing the first message

What to put in a first message

LF-02What to put in a first message

What to put in a first message

Date, pick-up point, destination. Those three lines are enough for the desk to reply with either a figure or the single question standing between it and a figure. Anything else you add saves a message later rather than being required up front.

Two details punch above their weight. The first is the number of large cases, because a boot that swallows four cabin bags will not take four suitcases and nobody wants to discover that on a forecourt. The second is a flight or tail number, which lets us set the collection to the aircraft rather than to a printed schedule that may already have moved.

If the plan is still forming, say what is fixed and what is not. A quotation can carry both, marked honestly, and it saves rewriting the whole thing when the middle day changes.

07Choosing a channel

Call, message or write

They all reach the same desk. These are simply the ones that tend to be fastest.

Call when

  • The itinerary has branches, or several cars.
  • You want to talk through vehicle choice for a group.
  • Something has changed while you are standing in it.
  • You would rather explain once than type twice.

Message when

  • You are travelling and cannot easily speak.
  • There is a screenshot or a photograph that explains it faster.
  • It is the middle of the night and it can wait an hour.
  • You want the whole booking in one readable thread.

Write when

  • A colleague needs to be copied in.
  • The itinerary runs to more than a screen.
  • You need the quotation attached to something.
  • The booking sits inside a longer piece of planning.

When to call rather than write

LF-03When to call rather than write

When to call rather than write

Short, clean bookings are quicker in writing. A single airport run with one pick-up and one drop needs no conversation at all, and a written thread leaves both sides with the same record.

Anything with branches is faster on the phone. Three cities in two days, a wedding with two collection addresses and a photographer who will overrun, a group of nine that may become eleven: those take five minutes spoken and twenty typed. Call, then ask for it in writing afterwards so the detail is fixed somewhere neither of us has to remember.

09Coverage

Where a booking can start

London based, driving the whole of the United Kingdom. A collection in Perth is arranged on the same line as one in Piccadilly.

Every covered town has a page of its own on the coverage index, and each airport page names the meeting point terminal by terminal.

The details we leave out

What this page deliberately does not say

LF-04What this page deliberately does not say

What this page deliberately does not say

You will not find a street address, a registered company number or a VAT number here. That is not an oversight and it is not a gap waiting to be filled with something plausible. Those details have not been confirmed for publication, so the site omits them rather than printing a version that looks right and is not.

The same rule governs everything else on this site. No star ratings, no review counts, no memberships, no founding year, no fleet size. Where a claim cannot be stood behind, it is left out, and what remains is the part you can hold us to: the number, the mailbox, the written quotations and the written quotation.

12Answers

Getting hold of us

Seven answers about reaching the desk, rather than about the driving itself.

Is the number a mobile, and does it take voice calls?

It is a single line that answers both voice calls and WhatsApp messages. There is no separate landline and no second number for out of hours, because the same line covers both.

How quickly does a written quotation come back?

Normally within the hour. A straightforward transfer is often quicker; a multi-day itinerary across several cities takes longer because the positioning between legs has to be worked out before a figure means anything.

Can I contact you in the middle of the night?

Reservations are answered around the clock, every day of the year, which is a practical necessity rather than a boast: a large share of the work is early departures and late arrivals, and both of those get arranged at unsociable hours.

Do you have an office I can visit?

No address is published on this site. Bookings are arranged by phone, WhatsApp or email, and the chauffeur comes to you, so there is nothing a visit would add.

Who do I contact on the day of a booking?

The same WhatsApp thread or phone line. Keeping the booking in one conversation means whoever answers can see what was agreed without asking you to explain it again, and can reach the chauffeur directly if a plan changes while you are standing in it.

Can somebody else book on my behalf?

Yes, and it is common. An assistant, a spouse or a company travel desk can arrange everything; we simply need a contact number for the passenger as well, so the chauffeur can reach whoever is actually travelling if the kerb is not where anyone expected.

Will I be added to a mailing list?

No. There is no marketing list on this site and no newsletter to be signed up to. An enquiry is answered and then it is finished, unless you write again.

Send the journey. We will send the price.

Phone, WhatsApp or email, whichever suits the hour. Give us the date, the pick-up and the destination and a written quotation comes back naming the car and the arrival time.
