01/The short answer
Ribbons are fitted by us before the car leaves, in a colour you choose when booking. Flowers inside the car are straightforward. What is not straightforward is anything adhesive or anything attached to the paintwork, and that is worth settling in advance.
It is a small detail that photographs badly when it goes wrong. Ribbons fitted properly sit flat and stay put for the day; ribbons tied on in a car park at half past ten flap, mark the bonnet and come off on the way to the church.
QA-01/What we fit as standard
What we fit as standard
Ribbons across the bonnet, in the colour agreed at the booking stage, fitted before the car sets off rather than at the venue. Ivory and white are the usual choices; other colours are arranged with notice.
They are fitted in a way that suits the specific car, which matters more than people expect. A Phantom bonnet and an S-Class bonnet want different arrangements, and a chauffeur who does weddings knows which is which.
Ribbons fitted before departure, in an agreed colour
Colour confirmed at the booking stage, not on the day
Flowers inside the car, arranged in advance
Nothing adhesive on the paintwork
Nothing attached that could come loose while moving
QA-02/Flowers, and where they go
Flowers, and where they go
Inside the car is easy: a small arrangement on the rear parcel shelf or on the seat before the couple gets in, agreed at the booking stage. Your florist can deliver to us or we can collect, whichever suits the morning better.
Outside is harder. Flowers on a bonnet need mounting, and mounting means something touching the paint. It can sometimes be done with the right arrangement, and it is a conversation to have well before the week of the wedding.
QA-03/What is not possible
What is not possible
Anything adhesive, anything magnetic on the paintwork, anything tied to a mirror or a handle, and the traditional tin cans on a string. All of them mark or damage a car that has to be photographed for the rest of the day.
Confetti is the other one worth mentioning. It is fine outside the car and less fine inside it, particularly the biodegradable sort in the rain, and a quick word with whoever is throwing it saves an interesting interior.
QA-04/Getting it right in advance
Getting it right in advance
Send the colour with the booking, and a photograph if you have something specific in mind. Matching a ribbon to a colour scheme is straightforward with a month's notice and impossible on a Friday afternoon.
If your florist is providing anything for the car, put them in touch with us directly. One conversation between the two of us on a Wednesday prevents a discussion in a church car park on the Saturday.
No. Fitting ribbons is part of preparing a wedding car in the same way that cleaning it is. Anything unusual with a genuine cost behind it, a specific floral arrangement for instance, is quoted so you see it before agreeing.
Can I supply my own ribbons?
+
Yes, and plenty of couples do where a colour has to match exactly. Get them to us before the day rather than handing them over on the morning, since fitting them properly takes longer than the five minutes available at a collection.
Can we put a Just Married sign on the back?
+
Not attached to the car. Something held or placed inside the rear window works and photographs just as well, and it avoids anything adhesive or scratched on paintwork that has been prepared for the day.
Tell us the journey. We will send the price in writing.
Message us the date, the pick-up and where you are going. You will get a fixed written quotation with the vehicle, the chauffeur’s arrival time and what the figure includes — no form to fill in, and no estimate that moves later.
