01The short answer

Ring or message +44 7775 554848. The reservations line is answered at any hour, reaches the chauffeur immediately and updates the booking record at the same time. Telling the chauffeur alone gets you moved, but it does not change the paperwork behind the day.

The distinction matters on any booking with more than one leg. A destination changed verbally in the car is known to one person. The same change told to reservations reaches the afternoon chauffeur, the invoice and anybody else expecting you.

The order to contact people in

QA-01The order to contact people in

The order to contact people in

Reservations first for anything that changes the booking: a new destination, a later pickup, an extra passenger, a cancelled leg. It takes one call and everything downstream updates from it.

The chauffeur directly for anything happening in the next few minutes: you are five minutes behind, you are coming out of a different door, the bag is heavier than expected. Their number is on your confirmation the day before, and that is what it is for.

  • Reservations, +44 7775 554848, for anything affecting the booking
  • The chauffeur, for the next ten minutes of your life
  • Email for anything that can wait until later today
  • Message rather than call if you cannot talk
  • Tell us early even when the change is only possible

QA-02The changes worth telling us about immediately

The changes worth telling us about immediately

Anything affecting a flight. A rebooked departure, a gate change that moves your timing, a cancellation. Those cascade into the collection, the terminal and sometimes the car park, and the earlier we know, the less of it you have to think about.

Anything affecting the vehicle. A fourth passenger, three extra cases, a child seat suddenly needed. Those cannot be solved at the kerb and can almost always be solved with an hour's notice.

QA-03If you cannot find the car

If you cannot find the car

Call the chauffeur first, then reservations if there is no answer within a minute. In an airport car park a phone may not connect, which is exactly why the office line exists and why it is answered rather than routed to voicemail.

At a terminal, stay where you are rather than walking. The chauffeur is looking for you at a known meeting point, and two people moving through an arrivals hall in opposite directions is the classic way to turn five minutes into twenty.

QA-04When the change is ours

When the change is ours

If a car is delayed by something we cannot control, you are told directly rather than left watching a road. The message says what has happened and what the revised time is, and where a delay is going to matter, another vehicle is put on it instead.

That contact goes to the booker, and to the passenger if they are a different person and you have said we may reach them. Nobody should discover a change by standing outside a building wondering.

04Answers

Follow-up questions

The things people ask straight after this one.

Is the number answered outside office hours?

Yes. Reservations are answered around the clock, every day of the year, which is a practical requirement rather than a claim. Flights land at four in the morning and plans change at midnight, and neither is a good time to reach a voicemail box.

Should I message or call?

Call for anything urgent, message when you cannot talk. A message to the same number reaches the same people and works well from a boarding gate or a meeting. Both get an answer; the call gets one faster when minutes matter.

Can the passenger change the booking, or only the person who booked it?

The passenger can change what happens in the car, and does. Anything that changes the price or adds a vehicle goes back to the booker, so an assistant who arranged the day is not surprised by a decision made in the back of a car in Kensington.

FCReservations

Tell us the journey. We will send the price in writing.

Message us the date, the pick-up and where you are going. You will get a fixed written quotation with the vehicle, the chauffeur’s arrival time and what the figure includes — no form to fill in, and no estimate that moves later.
